All's Fair in Love and Leaderboards

I'm in love with this new series, Phoenician Heat, by Alina Lane. All’s Fair in Love and Leaderboards is about Meadow and Griffin. They are bounty hunters, live in the same building, can’t stand each other, and are stuck on a job together, bringing in a dangerous perpetrator who skipped bail. For Meadow, this is a personal matter, since her best friend was involved, but for Griffin, he needed the money to keep taking care of his mother’s health.

Meadow comes from a family of detectives and bounty hunters. She has the skills, determined, a badass heroine who loves nut butter and has two more clones. Yes, they are triplets and each book of the series is about one of them. Griffin has only his mom, and his life wasn’t always a bed of roses. He’s fun and witty, but also caring and works hard for what he wants.

The story brings awareness about abuse and Alzheimer's disease, but also focuses on family life, the craziness when one comes from a big family. Reconnecting with an unknown brother and suddenly gaining an unexpected family. And finding love with your cocky neighbor.

Meadow and Griffin's relationship is fun, full of wit and banter. They have scorching passionate moments, and a few dramas. They are competitive between them, rendering some laughters. The story is fast-paced and keeps you on your toes. I loved it, and I couldn’t stop reading. I truly recommend it if you love enemies to lovers with some twists, or if you want to try something new!
